You don’t need to feel like you have it all together to move forward. May progress be your reward and may purpose faithfully pursue you with all her might. God has called you to live in fullness at this very moment. God is calling you to live in ultimate joy at this very moment. You can chase your dreams right now with what strength and guidance that you have and God himself will carry you the rest of the way.

There is no time for perfection when life is calling you to show up right now. I myself have come to know healing as a lifelong journey. Seeking God for wisdom during periods of healing has lead me to know that sometimes healing comes in acceptance. There are times when God removes the thing that’s broken in our lives then there are those times when God say’s to us that His Grace is sufficient.

The apostle Paul asked God three times to remove something that had become a thorn in his flesh. We do not know exactly what was troubling Paul. What we do know is that God gave him the grace to move forward in spite of it. God required Paul to go anyway.

2 Corinthians 12:8-10

New International Version

Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Despite Paul’s issue, he went on continuing to be used by God. He wrote 13 books of the bible. His impact in biblical history is still blessing us today. God carried him the rest of the way.

Concerning this I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might leave me;  but He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you [My lovingkindness and My mercy are more than enough—always available—regardless of the situation]; for [My] power is being perfected [and is completed and shows itself most effectively] in [your] weakness.” Therefore, I will all the more gladly boast in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ [may completely enfold me and] may dwell in me. So I am well pleased with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, and with difficulties, for the sake of Christ; for when I am weak [in human strength], then I am strong [truly able, truly powerful, truly drawing from God’s strength].

The same is true for you and me. At this time, we are all faced with a situation that we can’t magically move out of the way. COVID-19 has changed the way that we live. We cannot gather. We cannot do things as we normally would. Though this is true there is still life to be lived. May God give us the grace to live it both responsibly and fully as we adjust to what is different but what’s also not the end. Shouldn’t we still take these moments and do the best that we can with them? Yes, we should. Maybe you look around at your life and realize that you don’t have all the pieces. I would like to suggest to you that you don’t have all of the pieces that you want but you do have all of the pieces that you need.

In the 2014 movie Selma, Amelia Boynton said to a fearful and unsure Coretta Scott King, “I know that we are descendants of a mighty people, who gave civilization to the world. People who survived the hulls of slave ships across vast oceans. People who innovate and create and love despite pressures and tortures unimaginable. They are in our bloodstream. Pumping our hearts every second. They’ve prepared you. You are already prepared.”

You my dear are fully capable and already prepared for the path that God is calling you to. He has taken into account every strength, every weakness, every setback, every heartbreak and every flaw. Grace has already made up the difference and you are all set to run your race.
