GOD IS ALREADY ACQUAINTED WITH YOU, EVEN IF YOU’RE NOT ACQUAINTED WITH HIM

Psalm 139:1-3

1) O Lord, you have searched me [thoroughly] and have known me. 2) You know when I sit down and when I rise up [my entire life, everything I do]; You understand my thought from afar. 3) You scrutinize my path and my lying down, and You are intimately acquainted with all my ways.

It’s hard having relationships with people that we have to hide things from. These types of relationships don’t allow us the vulnerability to express our situations, hurts, dreams, and desires without the fear of my being judged or mocked. We tip toe around these types of people. The conversations are usually shallow and often times when we finish acquainting with them; we are drained. These are not people who you call on when you’re in trouble. But you may chat it up with her at a barbecue about the last episode of Rosewood. That’s it’s. She isn’t safe.

Yet and the same, if you are trying to hide things from God then you won’t get to experience him in fullness and in safety. It will be a limited connection. You will be more likely to run from it than to connect with it. Which is why it is so important to know that He already knows everything about you. Like the scripture above says, “O Lord, you have searched me thoroughly and have known me.” He has searched you and still loves you regardless of the unpretty, hidden spaces that you try to keep Him out of. Psalms 139:13-17 goes on to say,

“13) For You formed my innermost parts; knit me [together] in my mother’s womb. 14) I will give thanks and praise to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well. 15) My frame was not hidden from You, When I was being formed in secret, And intricately and skillfully formed [as if embroidered with many colors] in the depths of the earth. 16) Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; And in Your book were all written The days that were appointed for me, When as yet there was not one of them [even taking shape]. 17) How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them!”

Nothing about you is a secret to Your Creator. He formed you Himself. Allow yourself to be vulnerable with Him and know that He will not cast you out. His thoughts towards you are precious.

**Prayer for Vulnerability**

Father help me to know that I am safe in your arms. Increase my trust in you today. There is nothing that I can hide from You. You know all things. I release myself from fear. You have not given me the spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind. Let my relationship and intimacy with you increase and help me to know You better.

**Affirmation**

I am safe in God’s arms. His thoughts towards me are of good and not evil. God takes pleasure in my Total Life Prosperity. He has ordained me to blessed and have peace in every area of my life.
