So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.

There is a beautiful transformation that takes place in the soul when we just keep going. Pushing through what looks like failure can be scary but when you get to the other side of it, there is a garden there that was planted all along. It just needed a little more water. In pursuing my purpose (my garden) I’ve found that I need to water my soil with more courage. I had let past disappointments stunt my faith and keep me in a stagnant place of fear instead of choosing to go forward anyway.
Discouragement
a loss of confidence or enthusiasm; dispiritedness.
Isn’t it funny how the little word in the middle is courage. Which makes discouragement the opposite of having courage. Life hits us in ways sometimes that blows the wind out of us. That wind can be our passion, our strength, our faith, and all the things that keep us going and keep us reaching to fulfill our highest potential in God.
We need courage to turn our backs on fear, insecurity and doubt and step into the things that God is calling us to do.
We have been called for such a time as this. The gifts, ideas and purpose that bubbles within us are the vehicles that God is going to use to change nations, restore hearts and heal souls. Destiny is at stake and we must cultivate the faith it takes to keep going even if it didn’t work the first time, even if it didn’t happen like we planned and even if it looks different from what we pictured. God has a purpose for it all and in the end we’ll see that everything worked for our good. You are smarter, wiser and more prepared for your journey. You are unstoppable and nothing that comes against will prosper.
A Prayer for Courage
Dear God,
thank you for keeping me each time I fell. Thank you that your grace and favor carries me in areas where I can’t carry myself. You are a good father and I know that it brings you pleasure to see me prosper. Give me the courage to go forward even when I feel afraid and unqualified. You are my help and I do not have to rely on my own strength. You have purposed me and you have a good plan for me. Everything is working for the good of me. Help me to go forward in faith and in peace. Empower me to pursue and fulfill my purpose with fire, passion and courage. Let my courage and faith be increased daily. Thank you that you are personally going ahead of me. Thank you that you will never abandon me or let me fail.
