In The Daylight of Broken Dreams (A Poem)

I can see heaven in the daylight of broken dreams

Seamless connections connecting us one to the other

A hopeful humanity

Hopeful that humanity will see my resemblance and make room for me

Let the ceiling up for me to grow tall

Open the door wide enough for me to get my toe outside the door

And I’ll hold it open for the next person, I promise

I can see an orange sunray way down the road beckoning to my hopefulness

Proof for my haughtiness

I knew brightness was there beyond this place waiting on me and assigned to me

I knew God was here in this somewhat of a demise

I knew He was here in my fingertips pointing me that way

I knew He was here deep in the rumble of my eardrums beckoning me to listen

Well more like beckoning me to follow

To follow that lonely road where no one goes and no one knows

Except the ones that give up themselves to know God instead

Loose themselves to find purpose instead

I can see heaven in the daylight of broken dreams

Back behind that broken dream I can see heaven there waiting to be occupied

Waiting on the bold souls that manifest enough magic to believe

Believe

Believe

Believe

In that awkward, oddly shaped dream

And it’s beyond the knowing of possibility

Its more so about having had a taste of destiny in a vision so clear that the light was shining right through it

I can see heaven there in the daylight of broken dreams

Back behind that broken dream, I can see heaven there waiting to be occupied

Waiting on the bold souls that manifest enough magic to believe…
