Letting Go (A Prayer)

God,

give me the ability to leave old things behind and walk into the newness that You have created just for me. This is a new season and I surrender my old self to You. Create in me a clean heart. Enable me to move forward in a new love, new joy and fresh mindset that’s built on your principles. I release my will and I surrender to your will. Your thoughts are above my thoughts. Your ways are above my ways. I trust you with my life better than I trust myself. Allow me to see myself as you do. Give me vision that is connected to my purpose. I have always thought of myself in a particular way. I have tried to control my own destiny and have not given you room to work in my life. I have not allowed you to change the areas of my personality that need to shift and transform in order for me to go to the next level in you. Today I release it all. I release the warped self-image of myself that hinders me from growing and seeing my true treasure come forth. I release the shame and guilt that makes me feel like I don’t deserve better because of my past. I release my flaws and weaknesses because you said in 2nd Corinthians 12:9 that your strength is made perfect in my weakness. Therefore, I know today that I don’t have to have it all together in order for you to bless me. Your grace carries me in the areas where I am not strong enough to carry myself. This day God, I release every old mindset, habit, relationship, addiction, and all stumbling blocks that have stopped me from growing and being able to lay hold of my destiny. Infuse me with a newness that is provoking my purpose to be fulfilled in my life.
In Jesus name,

Amen.
